Matt Biolo's RNF '96 Fish designs were brought to the North Shore by Chris Ward and Cory Lopez, where the young newcomers made a name for themselves in the surf world - including their appearance in the legendary 5'5"x 19 ¼ surf film . The 1996 RNFs radically questioned the fairly stagnant contest designs of the time and laid the foundation for the Performance Hybrid Revolution. The key component of Matt's fish design is that it is designed for performance, with a relatively short tail for ripping. And not just small surfs, but waves of all sizes and shapes.
