HEY ROB, WHAT IS THE SEASIDE...?
I'm just developing the Go Fish into something new. The Go Fish is fast and feels skatey and loose and I love it. After driving it for a few years, I want more power - more carves, tighter turns. So the Seaside is all about refinement... less area in the tail, narrower tips, more curves and a narrower nose. All elements to rip while keeping the Go Fish cruisy and fun.
The Seaside is only suitable for quads, why?
I decided that if I was going to build a quad, I would build a quad that was strictly a quad... The concavity and bottom contours should match that. I redesigned my entire concave setup that I used on the Moonbeam and Go Fish and did it with the quad setup in mind so everything would fit together.
Why did you name this shape after your home break Seaside?
Naming surfboards is perhaps the hardest thing on the planet [laughs]. It's just the perfect little stick when I'm surfing my home spot, Seaside.
