Knowing that the Phantom is a great board for many different conditions, we decided to start with it and reshape it into an even more refined high-performance board, while maintaining the extra flow and glide that characterize the Phantom.

The Shadow was developed to offer all surfers the advantages of a wider board with a forward outline, but in a sleek high-performance package.

The Shadow features a high-performance outline with the widest point in the center rather than further back like most other HPSBs. We pulled the nose in by nearly half an inch and increased the rocker in the last 12 inches of the nose to keep it free during critical turns.

It has a soft hip for added sensitivity and looseness, and the squash tail is slightly pulled in to tighten the turning radius and improve vertical surfing capabilities. The tail rocker and bottom concave remain similar to the Phantom, which has already proven itself in everyday conditions around the world.

The thickness of the board sets the Shadow apart from other HPSBs, as it keeps the volume further forward without feeling excessive. The extra foam under the chest area provides more paddle power and gives your front foot extra lift in slower sections, ensuring easy speed and flow.
